[IN PROGRESS] Shopping!
Title: Free Bike?
Rating: G for special fun! :D
Characters: Sora solarsmile and Zelda wellexcuuuseme
Location: Kanto > Cerulean City
Summary: Sora helps Zelda get a hold of one of the bike shop's overpriced bikes.

Sora sat outside of the gym (which he had just closed up for the day, by the way), his hands stuffed into the pockets of his pants. He was wearing a smile and waiting for the girl who needed help getting a hold of a bike. It wasn't often that Sora helped people get a hold of the over-priced bikes at the Bike Shop because most people get a hold of those bike tickets. But he wasn't sure where those were (it was some secret that most people just happened to know...) and this girl looked like she needed some help.

She also looked really nice too, which was always a bonus.

Humming to himself, Sora leaned against the outside of the gym and waved every time someone greeted him, which was pretty oftem.

Zelda slowly made her way towards the large Gym at the end of the street. She would have been going faster, but she would have to stop to tell Farore to stop jumping in the flower garden, or to tell Nayru to stop trying to play with other peoples pokemon or some other such nonsense.

When she finally reached her destination she gave the boy a wave and a tired smile. "Hello. I'm sorry that I took so long."

She looked down at the three pokemon at her feet. "It was really their fault."

Sora smiled. "It's okay." Looking down, he spotted the three eevee evolutions and his smile widened. His Vaporeon, Kamea, peaked its head out from behind his legs and sniffed at the other three.

"I know how that is." He reached down and scratched behind Kamea's ears.

Zelda's smile softened as she saw the boy's gentle nature. "I'm sure you do."

She looked back down the street that she just came from and took a serious expression onto her face. "Well, if we could go ahead and go I would greatly appreciate it. I don't want the store to close before we get there."
solarsmile on September 10th, 2007 05:33 am (UTC)
"Alright!" Sora grinned and straightened himself up, though the girl still towered over him. "I'm Sora by the way." He held out his hand for her to shake. Kamea walked out from behind Sora's legs to sniff at Farore.

Zelda nodded and firmly grasped the smaller boy's hand. "I'm Zelda."

She looked down and saw Farore being sniffed by Kamea, who then playfully bit his snout. She gave a heavy sigh and looked back up at Sora. "Sorry about that."
solarsmile on September 10th, 2007 05:52 am (UTC)
"Nice to meet you," Sora said pleasantly before he too looked down at the Vaporeon and Flareon.

Kamea nudged her snout into Farore's face. "No apologies. Kamea likes it."

Zelda laughed and tugged on Sora's arm as she began to turn and walk down the street. "Come on, we don't have much time to waste."

She looked behind her and motioned with her had for her three pokemon to follow. "Come on you three." They all looked back and barked excitedly, catching up to trot along beside her.

Sora grinned and caught up with Zelda so that they were walking side by side. "Oh man, I haven't gone shopping for the longest time," he said happily, even if they were just going to get a bike.

Kamea pretty much ran to catch up with Sora, unable to stand the thought of being left behind.

As they were walking down the avenue they passed many people coming home from long days out on the town. All of them seemed to notice Sora and would almost instantaniously give him a friendly greeting.

Zelda looked down at Sora and smiled. "So, what did you do to get such a good reputation in this town?"
solarsmile on September 11th, 2007 04:56 am (UTC)
Obviously, Sora waved and greeted back when people greeted him, usually asking them a friendly question or two, like "How's the Squirtle?" or "Meet any interesting customers today?" But he didn't stop walking.

"Oh uh...I lead the gym here," Sora said simply with a smile as if it were normal. Which it was, in his mind.

Zelda nearly stopped in her tracks when she heard what Sora said. She simply looked down at him, jaw nearly fully dropped. "Wait..... You mean to tell me that YOU'RE the gym leader of Cerulean City?"

She turned to looked behind them and pointed at the large gym still visible in the distance. "You mean to tell me that you own THAT building right there?"
solarsmile on September 11th, 2007 05:01 am (UTC)
Sora's smile widened. "Yup!" he said cheerfully, his hands stuffed in his pockets. Kamea barked and rubbed up against his legs, begging for attention and love. Pulling one of his hands out of his pockets, he scratched her head.

Zelda just stared at the boy and continued to walk foward. "Excuse me for sounding harsh. Its just so odd to see such a young boy running a gym all by himself."
solarsmile on September 11th, 2007 05:06 am (UTC)
Sora started walking again, taking larger steps to catch up with Zelda. "I'm seventeen, so I'm not that young," Sora defended, still smiling that goofy smile. He was used to people questioning his gym leader status because of his height and age.

Zelda almost choked on her tongue and had to place a hand over her mouth to try and stop the laughing. After she had calmed herself she removed the hand from her mouth and sighed heavily. "I'm sorry. It's just that you look so much younger than you are."
solarsmile on September 12th, 2007 01:59 am (UTC)
"Whaaaat? Do I look twelve or something?" Sora asked, sticking his tongue out and crossing his arms over his chest teasingly. Most people usually thought he was twelve, anyway.

Zelda gave a warm smile to Sora, trying not to look too amused. "No no. I didn't even mean it like that."

In the distance the image of what appeared to be the bike shop came into view. She ran foward a bit and put her hand on her brow to block out the setting sun. Motioning for Sora to catch up she began to run foward. "Come on, the shop is just up ahead!"
solarsmile on September 12th, 2007 01:40 pm (UTC)
"Good," Sora said, smiling back.

Noticing the bike shop as well, Sora ran a bit to catch up. Since the bike shop wasn't too far away, they reached it in no time, and the shop wasn't even closed yet.

Sora opened the door for Zelda, just to be polite.
wellexcuuuseme: sleeping beautywellexcuuuseme on September 14th, 2007 04:28 am (UTC)
Zelda stepped inside, giving a nod of appreciation to Sora.

The inside of the store was lined with bikes from the entrance all the way up to the counter, almost making a direct pathway from the door to the back of the store.

She began to walk towards the counter, looking left and right at the different models that were displayed in the store. "So, is there a specific one you get, or can you force any bike out of this guy?"
solarsmile on September 14th, 2007 05:26 am (UTC)
"Pick whichever one you like best, I guess. We'll see what happens from there," Sora said with a smile, closing the door behind him. He waved to the guy behind the counter, who waved back before returning to reading some magazine.
wellexcuuusemewellexcuuuseme on September 19th, 2007 05:38 am (UTC)
Zelda cotinued to browse through the store's large selection of bikes. There was a bike for every kind of personality at that store and it would probably take hours to find the one she wanted.

After a few more minutes of searching Zelda struck what she could have considered the jackpot. In front of her sat a white, standard bike with a whicker basket and pink streamers. Her face lit up as she called Sora over. "Oh, oh! Can I have this one?"
solarsmile on September 19th, 2007 05:54 am (UTC)
Sora checked out the bike with a grin. In his mind, it was cool. But definitely not as cool as the motorpowered trick bike that sat in the window, taunting him.

Eh, he didn't really need a bike anyway. ...Kinda.

"It's awesome," he said honestly, playing with the streamers a bit. "The basket'd be perfect for holding pokéballs!" He paused. "Or food or something."
wellexcuuuseme: ??wellexcuuuseme on September 20th, 2007 05:36 am (UTC)
Zelda continues to examine the bike with a large smile. "I know! I was thinking the exact same thing."

She straightened herself up and looked over at the man standing behind the counter before looking back at the bike and finally at Sora. "So.... how do we do this?"
solarsmile on September 20th, 2007 05:41 am (UTC)
Sora tapped his chin. He hadn't ever tried to get things for free from anyone before, but the bike guy owed him a favour and Sora had never cashed in said favour.

He didn't even pause to wonder why he was giving that favour to someone he barely knew. Oh well!

Walking up the register, Sora smiled and the bike guy smiled back. "I was wondering if I could have that bike over there," he said with a grin.

"Oh yeah, take it! I owe you for that time with the Caterpie and the Blastoise," bike guy said with a smile.

Score one for the team!

Zelda's jaw nearly dropped when the shop keeper so willingly gave up the bike. After the money-less transaction was made, the man behind the counter took the bike off the rack and walked it outside for her.

She turned to Sora and gave him a hug for what he had just done. "Wow, I can't believe it was really THAT easy. How can I ever repay you?"
